Thoroughly fixed and optimized the “Install Free SSL (Let’s Encrypt)” feature: SSL installation is now much faster and less prone to minor errors. Certificates are only reissued when necessary — not recreated every time SSL is installed for a domain or subdomain as before. For example, if a domain is removed from the VPS and later added back, the old certificate will be reused during SSL installation if it is still valid, helping avoid unnecessary certificate requests. Additionally, various minor issues have been fixed, such as problems with ssl_stapling and the acme.sh process unexpectedly stopping after some time.
Remove the “Change Nginx Version” feature.
Fix the issue with “Protect wp-login.php for WordPress”.
Upgrade “Zend OPcache Management” to make it more user-friendly. Fixed the bug displaying the wrong website as having Zend OPcache enabled or disabled.
Add the “Update ACME.SH” feature in “Free SSL Setup” so you can use it when needed.
Fixed a bug preventing access to the Block Country Access to Website feature on some VPS instances.
Fixed a bug preventing access to the Super Fast Server Transfer feature.
Fixed several minor detected issues.
VPSSIM now supports Key Renewal and Key Reset for use on a new VPS.
Improved VPSSIM update notifications.
Supports dynamic IP like static IP. You can reinstall the server and use your old key to upgrade to Pro without needing a new one.
Removed the VPSSIM Pro trial feature.
Starting from this version, VPSSIM will no longer support Nginx Stable and Nginx Mainline during new installations. Only Nginx-More is supported. See full details at: https://how.vpssim.com/d/129
For VPS that previously installed Nginx-More, you can continue using the https://repo.aerisnetwork.com repo.
However, new VPS installations will now use http://repo.vpssim.com as the default repo for Nginx-More, with a mirror available at http://repo2.vpssim.com located in a different datacenter to ensure reliability during installation or updates.
⚠️ After June 1, 2025, the option to change the Nginx version will be removed from VPSSIM.
So, if your VPS is still using Nginx Stable or Mainline, make sure to migrate to Nginx-More before the deadline.
To do so:
VPSSIM main menu → Change / Update Nginx → Change Nginx Version → Nginx-More
Added option to install SSL for the Management Domain. Guide: https://how.vpssim.com/d/125
Changed “WordPress Website Tools” to “WordPress/Flarum/YourLS Tools” to support Flarum and YourLS websites.
Replaced File Manager with Tiny File Manager, with continued support for changing the admin password. See the guide: https://how.vpssim.com/d/126
Fixed minor bugs.
Fixed a user-reported bug. Although the issue affected only a few users, it has been patched proactively as a precaution.
Simplified the VPSSIM main menu by moving the management link information and VTS domain info into the Server Management Info section. From this version onward, the VPSSIM interface is officially stable — no more rearranging of functions. All new features will be added without altering the positions of existing ones, ensuring ease of use and function lookup. • Renamed the Install PaidSSL function to Install Paid SSL & Cloudflare SSL.
Renamed the Install PaidSSL function to Install Paid SSL & Cloudflare SSL. Added a new option to Install Cloudflare Origin SSL, allowing you to easily install Cloudflare’s origin certificates for your websites. → See the guide for installing Cloudflare Origin SSL.
Fixed other minor bugs.
From now on, all newly installed VPS/Servers will use port 34618 as the default management link port. The ability to change this port has been removed from phpMyAdmin and Filemanager Management. Port 34618 is now fixed for VPSSIM.
Redesigned the Resilio Sync Management feature. From this version on, Resilio Sync becomes super easy to use on VPSSIM. You can back up your website in real-time to your PC just minutes after installing and configuring Resilio Sync automatically within VPSSIM
Added Enable/Disable Telegram Notification feature for the following sections: Website Backup & Restore, Database Backup & Restore, and Backup to Google Drive. If you have configured Telegram, you can choose to send result notifications to Telegram. This includes success, partial failures, and information about which websites or databases failed. Guides: • Telegram Notification in “Database Backup & Restore” • Telegram Notification in “Website Backup & Restore”
Redesigned Zend Opcache Management — now significantly more optimized and user-friendly than before.
Updated Server Management Info feature — added Resilio Sync info and redesigned the layout for better readability.
Optimized performance for newly installed VPS/Servers using VPSSIM 6.2.0 or later. Performance improvements are especially noticeable on low-spec VPS (e.g., 512MB or 2GB RAM). On VPS with 512MB RAM: • Zend Opcache and Memcache will be DISABLED by default • They cannot be enabled via the built-in functions in VPSSIM → Enabling them on low-RAM servers causes more harm than benefit.
Improved Free SSL Installation: When installing SSL for subdomains, VPSSIM will no longer check www.sub.domain.com.
Renamed the PHP Configuration feature to Customize PHP Configuration. • Moved PHP TimeZone setting into this section. • Enhanced the Enable/Disable PHP Functions feature. • Added a predefined list of “Recommended Dangerous Functions to Disable” — selecting this will disable them automatically. • Also added more individual functions for manual disable selection.
Fixed the issue where Google Drive Backup did not perform automatic backups.
Fixed other minor bugs.
Added [Check Bandwidth UP/Down] feature. This function allows you to monitor daily, monthly bandwidth usage, etc. Click this link to view the user guide.
Updated [Server Data Compression Configuration (Gzip/Brotli)] feature: On servers with less than 4GB RAM, VPSSIM will not allow Brotli compression setup because Brotli may reduce performance compared to Gzip on low-memory servers.
Updated [Database Statistics] feature: Now you can also check the number of tables in each database
Updated [Delete Database] feature: You can now delete databases continuously without being exited from the menu after each deletion like in previous versions.
Fixed minor remaining bugs.
Fix lỗi tải RClone

Fix minor remaining bugs.
Fixed the issue with the [Super Fast Server Migration] feature. A code error previously prevented the creation and restoration of the database on the new VPS. This issue has now been resolved.
Fix some remaining minor bugs.
Fix remaining minor bugs.
Starting from this version, VPSSIM officially adopts Vietnamese with diacritics for the Vietnamese interface. This change makes VPSSIM significantly more user-friendly and intuitive, enhancing the overall experience.
After monitoring user behavior for a while, I noticed that most users decide whether to continue using VPSSIM within just a few days, rather than waiting for the full 30-day trial period. Therefore, I have adjusted the trial duration from 30 days to 7 days to streamline the experience and help users make decisions faster.
This change takes effect immediately, including for those who are still within their 30-day trial period but have not yet expired. Since this is a system-wide adjustment, individual modifications are not possible—thank you for your understanding.
Fix error creating FTP account for the website.
Upgrade the [Backup Data to VPS Backup] feature. The new functionality supports VPS with changed SSH ports and allows setting backup file retention time on the backup VPS to prevent storage overflow.
Update the [Transfer Data To New Server] feature, enabling ultra-fast server migration. Supports restoring the database for the new server directly from the old server.
Update the [Add Website & Code] feature, integrating [Add Domain VTS] into this function for easier use.
Add the [Change MySQL ROOT User Password] feature in the [Add, Delete & Check Database] section.
Update the "CloudFlare Dynamic DNS Installation" feature. From this version, VPSSIM will update both WWW and Non-WWW domains simultaneously. Additionally, fixed minor existing bugs in this section.
Update the server management information feature.
Change the default setting to disable LOG recording for websites with SSL installed in the Free and Paid SSL installation feature.
The Ioncube Loader installation feature is in the [Config PHP Configuration] section. Move Ioncube Loader from beta to the official release for PHP 8.4.
Add the "List All Firewall Rules" feature in CSF Firewall Management. Use this feature to view the firewall rules currently configured on the VPS.
Fix remaining minor errors.
Fix bug in the FREE SSL installation function according to the post: https://how.vpssim.com/d/56

Change the function name from [Config Nginx (Error Pages...)] to [Config Nginx: GeoIP, Error Pages...], and add 3 new features to this section.
Update the [VPSSIM Shortcut] function to [VPSSIM Shortcut / Update System]. In this function, I’ve added 4 new features: Update Nginx, Update PHP, Update MariaDB, and Update Full System (All Services). Please don't run the update command manually; instead, use this update function of VPSSIM to avoid causing server issues.
Fix bugs in the Cronjob Management section.
Update the success installation notification page and the page for adding a new website in VPSSIM.
Fix some small issues that still exist.
Add the "Nginx Configuration (Error Pages...)" feature to the main VPSSIM menu. This section currently includes three functions: 1. Server Data Compression Configuration (gzip/Brotli), 2. Customize Error Pages 403, 404, 502, 503..., and 3. Add Domain Nginx Vhost Traffic Status.
Add the "Server Data Compression Configuration (Gzip/Brotli)" feature. This feature works with Nginx-More, helping to speed up website loading when Brotli compression is enabled on the server. Using this feature, you can choose between gzip or Brotli compression modes for the server. For detailed usage instructions, refer to: https://how.vpssim.com/d/45
Add the "Add Domain Nginx Vhost Traffic Status" feature, allowing domains to be added based on the Nginx VTS module, helping you monitor detailed status and performance of Nginx for each domain on the server. For detailed instructions on this feature, refer to: https://how.vpssim.com/d/47
Move the "Customize Error Pages 403, 404, 502, 503..." function from the Add Website & Code section to the Nginx Configuration (Error Pages...) section.
Fix bugs in the functionality for backing up all websites and backing up all databases.
Add the "Clear Domain Cache On CloudFlare" feature. Path to this feature: VPSSIM menu => Clear Caches/Autorun VPSSIM => Clear Domain Cache On CloudFlare. Refer to the usage guide for this feature at: https://how.vpssim.com/d/22
Fix language errors when installing VPSSIM. (Translation to English is incomplete, with Vietnamese still present)
Fix Redis cache error stopping on VPS that does not support or has IPv6 disabled.
Fix the issue where VPSSIM cannot be installed on a new server in version 6.0.0.
Fix the language switch function bug for ARM CPU servers. This is a critical bug because I forgot to adjust the VPSSIM download link for the ARM CPU version. While it works fine on Intel CPUs, on ARM CPUs, the language switch causes VPSSIM to fail because the Intel version is downloaded instead of the ARM version. Users with ARM CPU servers must update to this version.
The New VPSSIM 6.0
This is the most powerful update for VPSSIM ever. For those who have used VPSSIM before, VPSSIM 6.0 is a complete transformation compared to previous versions.
There are so many updates in this release that I will only list a few here.
Add the "Add Website + Flarum" feature.
Add the "Custom Error Pages 403, 404, 502, 503..." feature.
Upgrade and further improve the code for the Redis Cache and Memcache Management feature.
Upgrade the PHP Configuration feature. Improve the VPSSIM code and bring back the installation functionality for Ioncube and PHP iMagick.
Upgrade the Server & Website Security feature. Most of the functions here will support configuring Parked domains similar to regular domains.
Add the Clear Caches/Autorun VPSSIM feature to the main menu.
Add more detailed information in the Server Management Info feature.
Support for HTTP/3 (QUIC) with SSL-configured websites starting from version 6.0.0.
Add domain management for the server instead of just using the IP address. Starting from this version, you can access the server management page via a custom domain.
Support for configuring Rate Limit Request to reduce load and prevent flooding/DoS on the server.
Support for Nginx Mod Security configuration.
Rebuild the Cronjob Management feature -> add /check Cronjob super easily.
Added the "Manage WordPress Multisite" function to the main menu. With this feature, you can install multisite, create subsites quickly, and do everything within VPSSIM.
Revamped/Fixed the function for installing Free SSL and Paid SSL.
Added the Change/Upgrade Nginx function.
Added the Auto Check Login/Nginx/MySQL/PHP function.
And many other upgrades
Fix some remaining minor bugs.
I've added support for RHEL 8 (AlmaLinux 8, Rocky Linux 8, Oracle Linux 8...) for servers using ARM CPUs. However, with ARM CPU servers, you cannot install the Nginx-more option and you can only choose between the stable or mainline versions of Nginx. If you want to use Nginx-more, you should opt for RHEL 9. (This isn't because of me, but because Nginx-more doesn't support it.)
Simultaneously, VPSSIM-Server has been replaced with Nginx server in the nginx.service configuration file. From now on, when users access the server's IP address or a newly added domain (only for domains added to the server without code deployment), there will be no information or links related to VPSSIM appearing. Naturally, these changes apply only to newly installed servers or to old servers where new domains are added using VPSSIM from version 5.2.2 onwards.
In this version, I did not add any new features or fix any bugs. Instead, I revised the content of two notification pages: the server installation completion page and the page notifying the successful addition of a website to the server. I have completely removed all links or content related to VPSSIM.COM and VPSSIM.NET from both pages.
VPSSIM officially supports ARM CPUs. From this version, if you have a server with an ARM CPU, you can install the server using VPSSIM. Currently, VPSSIM only supports RHEL 9 (AlmaLinux 9, RockyLinux 9, CentOS 9, and Oracle Linux 9) with ARM CPUs, so please take note when installing.
Increase the maximum number of characters for database passwords to 32.
Simplified the process of checking the free SSL installation for websites. In previous versions, VPSSIM had stringent checks, sometimes requiring more than one attempt to get SSL for the website. Now, SSL installation will be quicker.
Enhance VPSSIM's interface to look better on terminal screens.
VPSSIM now supports CentOS 8, AlmaLinux 8, Oracle Linux (8 & 9), and RockyLinux 8. For RHEL 8, the lowest PHP version VPSSIM supports is PHP 7.2, and for RHEL 9, it's PHP 7.4.
Removed the function "Move wp-config.php outside the public_html directory" from WordPress Website Tools: This feature will be reactivated once WP-CLI fully supports this migration. In reality, if the website is running on a single VPS, this feature isn't overly necessary. While having it would be better than not, I am currently forced to pause it because when enabled, WP-CLI encounters errors when using other functions in the WordPress Website Tools section.
Added the function to notify SSH access to the server via Telegram.
Added Install CloudFlare Dynamic DNS function: From this version, VPSSIM officially supports configuring dynamic IP addresses for domains managed on CloudFlare.com. With this feature, you can easily run a website right from your home. There are various methods to configure DDNS for a domain, but the way VPSSIM implements it is the simplest and most convenient. Any VPSSIM user can easily do it. See the Guide to Using the "Install CloudFlare Dynamic DNS (DDNS)" Function.
Continue updating domain-related functions, allowing you to simply select a number when using domain-related features on the server, eliminating the need to manually enter the domain.
Fixed the Server Timezone and PHP Timezone issues. No longer do some servers display the timezone as GMT+7 while the system time is GMT-7. For PHP Timezone, it now uses the geographical location-based timezone, helping to avoid GMT timezone discrepancies on certain servers.
Add phpSysinfo and set it as the default homepage in the Management Link section.
The WordPress Blog Tools section encountered several minor issues due to WP-CLI updates. I have completely fixed these errors. The name has been changed from WordPress Blog Tools to WordPress Website Tools, and the following functions have been added: Move wp-config.php outside of the public_html directory to enhance security. Enable/disable the ability to edit themes and plugins to improve security. I will continue to develop the WordPress Website Tools with more new features to make it increasingly effective for WordPress websites.
The FreeSSL Installation function has been checked and modified, with the default setting switched to ZeroSSL. Simultaneously, the issue with the cron job not automatically renewing the free SSL certificate from the previous version has been fixed.
A minor update has also been integrated, enhancing performance and user experience.
Upgrade Management Link: http://IP-VPS:810. The new version brings more powerful tools, allowing you to manage your VPS not only via SSH but also through a web browser. Notably, these functions will not consume VPS resources as they only operate when in use and are turned off when not in use.
VPSSIM Update to version 5.0.0 – A major upgrade from version 4.6.1.0.
In this update, I have completed the code for VPSSIM, bringing many improvements and optimizations to the existing features.
Some planned updates will be added in future versions to enhance the functionality and performance of VPSSIM.
Important note: Previous VPSSIM versions cannot be updated to this new version due to changes in the configuration file structure. Specifically, the vpssim.conf configuration file has been moved to /root/vpssim.com, and the DBinfo.txt file has also been moved to /root/DBinfo.txt.
Improve the code
Fix bugs in VPSSIM 4.6.1.0.
